The Shack are Guy Williams and Dan Williams (not related). Both have been active in dance music from the early 90’s ,Guy holding DJ residencies at clubs such as the Ministry Of Sound , Turnmills , Vague and many more plus touring the world taking in the USA, Japan, Thailand, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Russia and South America.
Dan Williams aka D.R.W carved his career in the music industry as a singer/songwriter learning instruments from an early age. Dan’s musical knowledge and dance floor know how, as a DJ, has taken him around the globe playing alongside 2many DJs and The Glimmers. He has also played at club nights including Caligula, Black Rabbit, Le Baron and holds downs a residency at Pacha with club night Jezebel.
Together, under their artist name, The Shack have made a modern underground Italo influenced party tune. “Touch It”, with its arpegiated vintage synth lines, catchy vocal hooks and instant bass line, has been sending dance floors small and large into overload. The Ep comes with a Faze Action dub mix changing the groove to a boogie, early 80’s, Disco not Disco feel. A dub mix on B2 from The Shack which strips the groove right back, appealing to fans of “The Revenge” and the deep disco house sound. Plus not forgetting the electronic 80’s influenced “Don’t Stop” tailor made for the after hours sessions.
The EP has Already been seeing heavy rotation from Faze Action , Pete Herbert, Severino from Horsemeat disco and many more. The Shack have created an EP which is current, whilst having cross over appeal. Its sure to be in most DJ’s boxes through out this summer and beyond.
